Kitchens

Careful consideration ...

.. to your lighting can be the difference between a "nice" kitchen and a GREAT kitchen.

First, consider the working light.  Downlighters offer pools of light throughout the room but may cast shadows under cabinets.  Fluorescent Stripights will cast less shadows but can be quite harsh on the eye. If you think about it during the planning phase you have a better chance of getting the effect you want.

Second, consider supplementary lighting to light up any working areas in shadow or where the main lights may not reach. This will often consist of undercabinet lights or directional spotlights etc.

Finally consider effect lighting. This might consist of plinth lights or lighting inside glass door cabinets.

Of course, we can help. We have completed many projects and will be happy to advise.
